New York Jets Overview
Thus far the season has been bitter sweet for the New York Jets. Although there is no denying that Mark Shanchez has struggled in maintaining possession of the ball, most critics would attribute the this trend to the absence of their Pro-Bowl center.
Next week the Jets will face their divisional rival New England Patriots. Although losing to Oakland and Baltimore hurt as a Jets fan, losing to the Patriots is always difficult to swallow.
I think we have seen the emergence of a new spark on the Jets defense by adding Joe Mcknight as an additional pass rusher. Great call by whomever thought to test the waters with something different.
Wilkerson has shown some evidence of why the Jets drafted him in the first round. If only the offensive line could provide some protection for Sanchez to get our passing game back on track. Perhaps the analysts are right and we have tried to stray to far away from the formula that brought the Jets to back to back AFC championship games.

Jets prepare for their rivalry showdown
This Sunday afternoon, the NY Jets will faceoff against their division rival, the New England Patriots. The Jets suffered a heartbreaking loss against Rex Ryan's former team, the Ravens, in which the Jets offense was literally nonexistent. The defense played "like Jets" with a few concerns in regards to needless penalties, many of which helped convert 3rd and long for the Ravens.
Sadly, the Jets lost Chris Jenkins for the year, with a torn ACL for the second consecutive year. The only bright side is that Randy Moss seems to becoming dissatisfied in New England, so we pray that this disrupts the chemistry of their offense.
It would appear that although Revision is dealing with a tight hamstring condition, he will be facing off against Moss in this week's matchup.

Sean Payton: Juicy Fruit Chewing Genious?
I'm sitting at home watching America's Game on NFL Network, and I am shocked that the Super Bowl onside kick was a premeditated strategy. It's one thing to say that based upon the score and momentum of the first half, Sean Payton decided it could spark the momentum in his favor. The New Orleans Saints actually game planned with the idea that they would absolutely run an onside kick in the Super Bowl.
I love the idea behind going for broke, but to actually call the play in, took some serious guts. I recently visited the city of New Orleans and it is incredible to see first hand how much the Saints mean to the people of New Orleans.
Consider the happiness that the 2009 Championship brought to an otherwise heart broken city. God bless the NFL. Football is a necessary distraction from the pains of reality. For everyone involved, we can not allow a lock out next season.

The Spirit of the Saints vs. Favre
Although I more than anyone would love to get swept up in Favre run to the Superbowl, I haven't seen enough from the Vikings to intimidate the New Orleans Saints.
Even though I do not predict that the Saints return to the Superbowl, I think out of the gate, they just have too much offense to compete with, while Favre is still getting back in game shape.
I am very excited about the Bengals vs Patriots game in week one, that will surly be a game to see. Tom Brady and Randy Moss taking on Ocho Cinco and TO, should be a shootout!

Revis on Fantasy Island
Today the new York Jets star defensive corner returned home to the great state of New Jersey.
In mid-flight Revis was given the key to the city by President Obama and Bloomberg. Once he landed, Revis was greeted at the airport by FB John Conner who carried Revis piggyback to the Jets facility, while Jets QB Mark Sanchez skipped in front of them dropping rose petals.
Once they arrived, Revis was given a full body massage by Coach Ryan, while Mike T fed him grapes and cooled him with a spray bottle of holy water.
Braylon Edwards hugged Revis for so long, some of "The Beard" jumped onto Revis.
As a football fan, you have to be excited that Revis is back where he belongs.

Ocho Cinco Victim of Personality
I do completely agree with the NFL's rules, which prohibit players and coaches from Tweeting during football games, simply because it is disrespectful to the other players who are focused on the game. However it should not be over-looked that players such as Chad OchoCinco provide fans with an inside look to his experiences of being an NFL superstar. Chad's personality, if nothing else is entertaining.
I can see the argument that "dancing for the fans" takes away from the integrity of the game, however the game itself is so popular because it's a form of entertainment to the fans. The games deserves respect, but I think the touchdown celebrations and trash-talking only adds to what makes the NFL great.
Please feel free to add your won opinion and debate your perspective!

Quarterback Cup Game
The following is a game my friends and family have been playing for years. Hope you enjoy it!
Game Setup: Players (2 or More), 1 Cup, & Each player will need a supply of quarters.
Game Rules: Everyone participating selects their designated seat. The player closest to the television starts by putting a quarter into a cup.
Each player's turn lasts for one play of the football game (including special teams plays), so the first play would be the kickoff.
If anyone scores during the kickoff, the first player of the game gets their quarter back. If no team scores on the kickoff, the cup is passed the next player to the right (clockwise).
That player places a quarter into the cup and waits for the next play of the football game.
If the offense scores any points on the next play, the player holding the cup is awarded with all of the quarters in the cup.
If the offense does not score on the play, the player passes the cup to the next player and so on.
In the event of a turnover (fumble, interception, or turnover on downs) the player holding the cup must add an additional quarter to the cup and reverse the direction the cup is being passed to counter-clockwise.
If the defense scores on the same play as the turnover, the player designated to get the cup next is awarded the contexts of the cup.
This game is a Superbowl party favorite, although it can be played for any football game to keep your party guests interested in the game.

Jets vs. Giants Recap
Last night’s game between the New York Rival Jets and Giants was spectacular. The Jet's first string defense looked great, even with the absence of Revis. With the exception of Mark's INT in the first QTR, the offense looked spectacular too.
The most memorable moment has to go to Eli Manning's running back almost getting him killed. Eli's own player knocked into him so hard trying to get the handoff, that he knocked poor Eli's helmet off. Then Eli was crushed from his blind side bending him in half and knocking his face into another defender.
Outside of 12 stitches, Eli was not injured on the play, although If I was a giants fan, I would be awfully concerned about letting my Franchise QB take hits like that. It was difficult to watch as the blood poured out of Eli's head.

Brady Quinn Can't Win
Our first look at Brady Quinn this season was far from spectacular! With Tebow breathing down his neck to move up the depth chart, he needs to get his act together. Orton looked pretty good, but most of the kudos goes to the Bengals. Their new tight end looked really impressive, along with 85 & 81, they should be great.
